Exercise can be a Family Affair

The family is definitely under attack in today’s society. Too many things pull us in every direction.

Rarely do we spend time with one another like our great grandparents used to. We are either in separate rooms or we are in the same room but in completely different places mentally. Some of us are on the computer, phone, or tablet, while the others are watching TV.

Spending so much time near each other in the same house without ever really connecting and spending real quality time will not help strengthen your family bonds.

It is absolutely crucial that we turn off those devices for a planned time each day and then spend quality time with one another. Our kids need to know that we are interested in their lives. They need to feel our love and concern for them.

“To a child, love is spelled T-I-M-E.”

It can be hard to always have activities planned that will capture the interest of our children. In an effort to help, I have written up a few ideas of physical activities that your family can do during these times.

With these activities, you can kill two birds with one stone. Not only can you spend a lot of fun time with your kids and spouse, bonding, laughing, and playing, but you will get your heart rate up for a good twenty minutes for some good old fashioned cardio.
